Dr Henry Hutchinson Stewart Medical Scholarships and Prizes
NUI Galway’s School of Nursing and Midwifery has had a remarkable record of success in the Dr Henry Hutchinson Stewart Medical Scholarships and Prizes. Since 2007, our students have been awarded prizes each year, including nine first place prizes.
The Dr Henry Hutchinson Stewart Medical Scholarships and Prizes are offered in a range of subject areas across Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery and the Health Sciences for undergraduate students. These awards are based on students’ final examination results in the Faculties and Schools of Medicine and Nursing of the NUI Constituent Universities, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and St Angela’s College, Sligo.

Twin sisters Rachel and Rebecca O’Malley enjoyed double success at the 2016 Dr Henry Hutchinson Stewart Awards. Rachel O’Malley was awarded first place in the Dr Henry Hutchinson Stewart Medical Scholarship in Nursing and Rebecca O’Malley was awarded first place in the Dr Henry Hutchinson Stewart Medical Scholarship in Speech and Language Therapy.
