Biography

I was awarded a BA (Italian & French) by NUI Galway in 1997 and was awarded my MSc (Bereavement Studies) by the Royal College of Surgeons & the Irish Hospice Foundation in 2014.  My final research project was a study of disenfranchised grief as experienced by Roman Catholic Clergy in Ireland.
I also hold diplomas in Social Gerontology and the Psychology of Counselling, both awarded by NUI Galway. 
My special interest is in disenfranchised grief.
I have been working in NUI Galway since 2000.
