Research Interests

My research interests are in the law and politics of human rights, human rights and conflict affected settings, and EU external relations and human rights. I have a regional interest in Turkey and the Middle East. Current research projects include the EU and conflict resolution, with a focus on the EU's engagement with the Kurdish conflict in Turkey; and an investigation of the use of curfews as a means of collective punishment.
