Single Public Service Pension Scheme
The new Single Public Service Pension Scheme (SPS) commenced with effect from 1 January, 2013.
The Department of Public Expenditure and Reform has updated their website with information on the Single Scheme, including an information booklet.

The website now contains a link to a video presentation aimed at providing Single Scheme members with valuable information on the pension scheme. It covers the benefits you enjoy as Single Scheme members, the contributions you pay to enjoy those benefits and other rules and obligations of the Single Scheme. It also explores options such as Purchase and Transfer that are available to members to increase your Single Scheme benefits.
Member Estimator TooI
A Single Scheme Estimator Tool is now live in the Member’s area of the Single Scheme website. The tool is spreadsheet based and designed to give standard Single Scheme members a broad indication of the level of their normal retirement benefits based on current pensionable remuneration and work-pattern. There is also a two page At-a-Glance guide which all members should refer to. Estimates provided by the tool are not a guarantee of the benefits payable but should help Scheme members with financial planning.
