Welcome to NUI Galway's University of Sanctuary Scholarship Programme

As part of our University of Sanctuary initiative at NUI Galway, the University of Sanctuary Steering Committee introduced a specific University of Sanctuary Scholarship Programme for the academic year 2019-2020. Builidng upon the work of the Inclusive Centenaries and Admissions Office scholarhip programmes, the University of Sanctuary Scholarship Programme is designed to increase participation at NUI Galway for International Protection Applicants, refugees, vulnerable immigrant groups, and Irish Travellers.  

Applicants applying for undergraduate courses Engineering (Mechanical) BM1 (GY405 for CAO) and Engineering (Biomedical) BG1 (GY408 for CAO) may be eligible for additional funding provided by Medtronic Ireland.

Please note: Applications for the University of Sanctuary Scholarship Programme 2021-2022 will close on Friday, 10th September 2021 at 5pm.
