Biography

Dr Adnan Elahi is a lecturer in Medical Electronics and Co-director of the Translational Medical Device Lab at the University of Galway. He holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering and M.Sc. in Data Analytics from the University of Galway, an M.Sc. in Embedded Digital Systems from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom and a BS in Computer Engineering from COMSATS University, Pakistan. His PhD research was focused on the investigation and development of novel signal processing algorithms to improve microwave imaging of the breast. His current research spans the disciplines of engineering and medicine, with a particular focus on smart devices for remote patient monitoring; novel and personalised therapeutics using RF/Microwave and Pulsed-Field Ablation; and AI/machine learning for biomedical signals. 

He has previously worked as a lecturer (2007-2012) at COMSATS University, Pakistan; and as a Research Associate at Computer Vision Research Group (COMVIS), Lahore, Pakistan.
