Master of Education (Home Economics)
Course Overview
The Master of Education (Home Economics) Degree is an interdisciplinary postgraduate programme which aims to enhance teaching, learning and research in Home Economics / Home Economics education. Delivered fully online, the programme will facilitate participants to understand and critically evaluate contemporary educational policy and practices in Home Economics / Home Economics education and apply relevant knowledge, theory and research findings in order to inform and enhance their professional practice.
The M.Ed. (Home Economics) programme provides the only postgraduate qualification in Home Economics education on the island of Ireland. This interdisciplinary postgraduate programme is designed to meet the personal and professional needs of Home Economics graduates. It will provide participants with an enriched and extended repertoire of discipline knowledge as well as skills for critical reflection. It aims to enhance teaching, learning and research in Home Economics / Home Economics education.
