Clare Finnegan is a lecturer of Biology within the Department of Home Economics. Clare is a graduate of Maynooth University where she received a first class honours degree in Biological and Biomedical Science. She completed her PhD in Biology at Maynooth University as an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Scholar. Clare was also awarded a certificate in Teaching and Learning by the Centre for Teaching and Learning at Maynooth University.

Research interests have mainly focussed on molecular biology of lung pathologies.
