Dympna is a researcher within the Department of Nursing, Health Sciences and Disability Studies. She is a graduate of Chester University, England, Trinity College Dublin, University of Ulster, Northern Ireland and the National University of Ireland, Galway. Dympna has worked on various funded research projects on the island of Ireland.


Dympna’ s research interests include Pregnancy, Childbirth and Motherhood, Disabilities (intellectual and physical), Cerebral Palsy, Mental Health, Communication (verbal and nonverbal), Quality of Life and is also employed as an external advisor and qualitative analyst on many PhD studies.
