This year the Human Resources Office at Ollscoil na hÉireann Gaillimh have the great pleasure in hosting the 12th Annual Irish Universities Association HR Conference which takes place in the Salthill Hotel. It will be our pleasure to welcome delegates from across the island to what is the second conference that we have hosted in this series. The conference gives us an opportunity to meet colleagues and share experiences. I am confident that you will find the conference both informative and enjoyable from that perspective.

In the very challenging circumstances that we are facing it is important that we don't get consumed by the day to day pressures and we should take the time to pause and look forward to what lies ahead and perhaps consider some more positive issues. The range of presenters we have assembled from the public sector, private industry and a leading European university will allow us to do just that.
