Biography:

Michelle Millar, BA, MA, PhD (Limerick) Senior Lecturer at the School of Political Science and Sociology and Research Fellow at the Child and Family Research Centre, NUI Galway .Her current research interest focuses on labour market activation and those parenting alone as well as social inclusion and parenting. She has published some 20 journal articles and book chapters and is co-editor of the book Public Administration and Public Policy in Ireland: Theory and Methods (2003). Her journal articles have appeared in Social Science and Medicine, Public Administration, Journal of Family Issues, International Review of Administrative Science, Irish Medical Journal, Journal of Public Money and Management, Public Policy and Administration, and Administration.
