What is this Course?

This 2-day residential course is an introduction to hospitality management with an emphasis on application in the workplace. This programme is designed for team members who want to develop themselves as supervisors and managers. Modules covered include, Revenue Management, HR & People Management, Finance for nonfinancial managers, Conflict resolution & Intercultural communication for hospitality.

Revenue Management Module will be delivered on Monday 29th January by Oonagh Cremins, Owner & Director, The Innovate Room

This one day revenue management course is designed to deliver actionable insights for your hotel in the Revenue & Distribution Management space .

The course will direct you as to some key actions that you can implement in property to support your revenue optimisation.

 

Course content:

  1. Concept of Revenue Management & Base Metrics
  2. Where does Revenue Management sit in your organisation?
  3. Collaboration across Sales/Marketing/Revenue Management
  4. What is the best approach for pricing your hotel
  5. Competitive set
  6. Trenda & Tech

 

HR & People Management will be held on Tuesday 30th January. This module will be delivered by Sue Baird, Learning & Development & HR Specialist, Exec Coach

The one-day program will have two core elements:

Focus on key HR strategies, which create a working framework that fosters fairness, inclusivity and clarity supportive of a workplace culture that is attractive, stimulating and fulfilling for employees across all generations & communicating successfully, with emotional intelligence and engagement remains a fundamental challenge within many organisations – communication is the foundation of all working relationships.

This program will include a variety of hands-on practical activities and exercises aimed at getting the group to engage with each other, developing their own core skills whilst blending with colleagues within the group.

  1. How Culture, Compensation, Benefits & Branding impacts on your ability to attract & retain great people
  2. Insight into upcoming legislation changes & contractual requirements
  3. How impactful leadership skills are key to creating the best teams
  4. Relationships are built on great communications
  5. Helping people grow
