| Project Summary |
This project was recommended by the ‘Mother and Baby Homes Collaborative Forum’ (hereafter the Collaborative Forum) in 2018. In 2019, a funding call was initiated by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs as it was then, and under the Irish Research Council COALESCE Research Fund, for which researchers from NUI Galway were successful. The aim of this project is to provide and highlight acceptable language for use while also noting stigmatising and labelling language that has been used in the past. The project additionally seeks to provide guidance on how to address this issue in the future. Further information available here. |
