Reading by Jan Wagner & Matthew Sweeney 19th Feb 2018 The reading will focus on a collection of Matthew's poems translated by Jan Wagner into German and published under the title Hund und Mond (Dog and Moon). The book was recently chosen as "book of the month" by the German Academy for Literature and has been prised for its surreal approach to everyday life.

During the Pandemic, the German Discipline decided to introduce Final Year students to the genre "Hörspiel" ("audio play/radio play").    Guided by the Lecturer, Antonia Musolff, DAAD Lektorin, the students listened to a combination of modern and classical German Audio plays to then re-enact their own audio play - writing scripts by adapting famous German Short Stories, recording sounds, performing,  and  using software to edit. Listen to the recording of 1 Heisse Spur in München Stefanie Wülfing   A final production which was aired on Zoom on Thursday 20th May at 6 p.m.  ‌
