On Thursday, 10th of December, the Irish Centre for Human Rights is pleased to invite you to a webinar closing the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. The panel, formed of four women who work to end violence against women, will critically discuss action against gender-based violence in a post Covid-19 world. The pandemic has acted as a magnifying glass on persisting inequalities everywhere with its accompanying consequences: an increase in multiple forms of violence against women and girls. As we adapt to a ‘new normal’ this event will critically engage with the challenges brought by Covid-19 to the fight against gender-based violence, with the aim to use lessons learned to re-imagine old and new responses for this shadow pandemic.
