The third seminar in the new Queer Human Rights Seminar Series at the Irish Centre for Human Rights, on 'Masculinities and (in)vulnerability: Queering constructions of victimhood in anti-trafficking action', will take place on Wednesday, 16 November 2022 at 1pm on Zoom.

Dr Noemi Magugliani (they/them) is a Lecturer at Kent Law School and a Research Fellow at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law. Their research focusses on human trafficking, international migration law and international refugee law – with a focus on gendered constructions of vulnerability and victimhood. In this seminar, they will discuss perceptions and constructions of trafficked men as (un)gendered subjects, presumptions of invulnerability and exclusion from traditionally binary understandings of victimhood.

Registration will be available via EventBrite shortly.
