I am a laboratory technician in Teagasc, Athenry. I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology at Durham University, followed by a Master’s degree in Parasitology and Pathogen Biology at Queen’s University, Belfast. During this Master’s I researched RNA binding proteins secreted by Fasciola hepatic (liver fluke) in extracellular vesicles. I am currently collaborating with the Molecular Parasitology Laboratory on vaccine trials against liver fluke in sheep.
