Tadhg Kilbane Headshot

Tadhg Kilbane completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Galway. In November 2022 he joined the research lead by Dr Carolina De Marco Verissimo at the University and, thus, started to work closely with the Molecular Parasitology Laboratory (MPL) team. The aim of his research is to investigate the mechanisms of complement evasion by Fasciola hepatica and Schistosoma mansoni parasites, focusing on the role of parasite Serine Protease Inhibitors (Serpins). In September 2023 he began working to achieve a Research Masters in Zoology, under the supervision of Dr. Carolina and Prof. John Dalton.
