Welcome to the School of Education, NUI Galway. The School of Education is a dynamic and innovative constituent school of the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies, NUI Galway, with an established national and international profile in teaching and educational research.

The School of Education aims to enhance Irish education and Irish culture, economy and society, through the concurrent, consecutive and continuing professional development of educators and teachers. We engage in research that contributes to educational development, innovation and excellence locally, regionally, nationally and internationally (through transnational projects and networks).

The Educational Technology Centre is embedded within the School of Education. This Centre is a hub for creative and innovative use of technology in teaching and learning, and includes a public Online Resources Library with access to resources related to education.

The BA in Mathematics and Education is a four-year, full-time undergraduate degree which offers two valuable qualifications: an honours degree in mathematics and a second-level teaching qualification.
