Suppliers of chemicals and other materials used in the workplace must provide users with the appropriate safety information. For chemicals this is usually in the form of a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) which gives the required information under sixteen (16) prescribed headings. Hard copies of the SDS must be provided on delivery of the material and there are various internet sources for SDSs. Personnel using chemicals must have a current hard copy of the SDS for the chemical agents that they work with for general and emergency use.
