Arts in Action 2017/18

Arts in Action offers access to a variety of international-standard arts events throughout the academic year. Each year is packed with rich and diverse performances focusing on emerging and established professional artists and also on performances by international names from the world of theatre, literature and traditional music.

  • All events are free to attend and take place mostly at The Cube and Bailey Allen Hall in Áras Na Mac Léinn, NUI Galway.
  • The programme starts in the second week of each semester.
  • Every student and staff member can attend the events.

Arts in Action 2017/18In 2016/17 performers included: Ronach Ní Néill, ConTempo, Frankie Gavin, Máirtín O'Connor, Jack Talty, Ronan Browne, Fado singing from Coimbra University, Portugal, and many more. For 2017/18 Arts in Action has developed a new audience development initiative with Music for Galway with a series of International Lunchtime concerts designed to bring the best in contemporary and classical music to our campus community.
