Resource Library
Resource Library
The Resource Library (room D201, Block D) houses a valuable collection of teaching materials in all second-level subject areas which student-teachers may borrow for use on teaching practice.
The Library contains:
- School text books
- Department of Education & Skills literature
- Teaching packs
- DVD' s
- Range of materials 'As Gaeilge'
Additional features include:
- NUIG WiFi internet access
- Apple iMac for creative work
- Apple iPads with a selection of education apps
- Facility for small group work
- Interactive data projector connected to a PC workstation
- Quiet environment for study
Also contained within it are a stock of school curriculum materials, and samples of student projects in various subject areas.
The Resource Library provides a service for approx. 270 students from all SoE programmes (in line with NUIG’s student centred policy) e.g. PME, MGO and the BA in Maths & Education programme. It is also a reading, reflection, research and study space for students on all the SoE programmes.

Tuesday 10am - 1pm & 1.30 - 4.30pm
Wednesday 10am - 1pm & 1.30 - 4.30pm
Thursday 10am - 1pm & 1.30 - 4.30pm
Friday 10am - 1pm
Closed for lunch 1pm - 1.30pm
If returning books or other resources and you find the Resource Library closed, please use the 'Drop Box' outside the room door.
