The University Orientation for new postgraduate research students will take place on Wednesday, 4th September 2019

Morning session
Time: 10 a.m – 1:30 p.m.

 Afternoon sessions

  • College of Arts, Social Sciences, & Celtic Studies 2.30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Seminar Room, The Bridge, Hardiman Research Building. Organiser:  Mr. Seosamh Mac Donnacha.
  • College of Engineering & Informatics 2:00 p.m. in the Engineering Boardroom ENG-2052, Alice Perry Engineering Building. Organiser: Sharon Allman
  • College of Medicine, Nursing, & Health Sciences 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the AM112 - Lecture Room, Arts Millennium Building. Organiser: Dr Colette Kelly 
  • College of Science 2:00- 4:00 p.m. in the MY129- Lecture Theatre 2, Aras Moyola Building. Organiser: Dr. Nicholas Devaney

  • College of Business, Public Policy, & Law - Wednesday, 11th September - 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the CA110 Whitaker Institute Room, Cairnes Building. Organiser: Dr. Rachel Hilliard

Orientation will give you the opportunity to learn more about the graduate research environment at NUI Galway and your research programme, to find out more about the types of services provided by the university and give you the opportunity to meet staff and other students.

Attendance at both sessions is obligatory and will be recorded.

Support services orientation for International students will take place on the 5 September from 9:30 am. Details can be found here.
