Our New and Returning Postgraduate Research Student's Guide is a very useful signpost document that directs you to relevant university services e.g. registration, fees, accomodation.
I hope you are well in these exceptional and uncertain times that we are all experiencing.
You are invited to attend our virtual Postgraduate Research Orientation.
Orientation seeks to welcome you and provide you with the necessary information as you start your research journey at NUI Galway.
Orientation will be in three stages (See below).
Attendance at our Orientation is obligatory. Your attendance will be recorded at Stage 2 and 3 so you are requested to log in to the sessions using your full student name.
Orientation will give you the opportunity to learn more about
-the graduate research environment at NUI Galway
-commencing your research programme
-services provided by the university
Orientation also gives you the opportunity to meet staff and other students.
Orientation Stages
Stage 1 - Pre-recorded presentations
Pre-recorded presentations now available below. Please review each of these presentations prior to Stage 2 and Stage 3.
