Canvas at University of Galway
The digital learning environment at University of Galway is central to our Academic Strategy. Following an extensive review process, the Teaching and Learning Committee decided that the University would move from our current Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Blackboard Learn to a new VLE, Canvas.
This new VLE is key to enhancing the success of our student campus experience and enabling our teachers to nurture greater learner engagement and participation. From the start of the next Academic Year (2023/24) Canvas will be the single institutional VLE.
We recommend that you store any course and module content on your Microsoft 365 OneDrive. Also, see our Microsoft 365 OneDrive webpage for more information on using OneDrive.
