A very warm welcome to the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies. We wish you every success in your studies here at NUI Galway and are delighted that you have chosen to study a course in the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies.
Orientation for new students is designed to welcome you here to NUI Galway and introduce you to university life. Orientation 2021 is a blended programme of online and on-campus activity. All details are below. It is important that you attend both the online and on-campus events for the best experience.
ONLINE ORIENTATION
The College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies will be hosting an Online Academic Orientation on 22,23 and 24 September 2021 to introduce you to the academic side of your university experience. Online Orientation has now taken place. Please click on the invidividual schedules to access recordings of the talks.
On-Campus Orientation
We have a weekend of exciting activity designed to let you explore our beautiful campus, get acquainted with key resources and make new friends along the way.
As a First Year Arts Student, we also welcome you to join us on campus for your own special welcome on Saturday, 25 September. There will be a College of Arts drop in information stand in the Arts Millennium Building from 12-3pm so if you have any questions, please pop by. There will be a range of events on both Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September for you to enjoy additional to your formal programme on September 25th.
We are thrilled for your arrival at NUI Galway and want to reassure you that your safety is our priority. All activities comply with COVID-19 regulations, and specific procedures have been put in place to protect all students, staff and supporting student ambassadors.
