Welcome to the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies.

Congratulations on being accepted to study your Masters programme at University of Galway. You are joining a University that has earned international recognition as a research-led university with a commitment to top quality teaching across a range of key areas of expertise.

The University is structured into four colleges, you are joining the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic studies. We received the award for Best College of Arts and Social Sciences at the 2020 Irish Education Awards. Our college performs extremely well in QS rankings, with seven Subject Areas highlighted as being amongst the best in the world including: No. 91, English Language and Literature, Top 120 in Performing Arts, Top 250 in Education, Top 200 in Archaeology, Top 250 Modern Languages, Top 320 in Linguistics and Top 300 on Psychology.
