Grand Rounds'

The SAT will try to bring interesting and impactful speakers to Grand Rounds' sessions in the School of Medicine.  Below are a list of Grand Rounds' that have linked in with the Athena SWAN or equality initiatives.

On Sept 28th, 2018 the Grand Rounds’ session focused on organisational culture. This session presented data relating to culture that was collected within a School of Medicine survey and focus groups. Scott Solder contributed to the discussion of the impact of culture on employees and how it can be improved, and staff had the opportunity to contribute their opinions and to ask questions.

On March 6th, 2020 the Grand Rounds' session will focus on work life balance.  This session has invited speakers: Prof Fidelma Dunne, Personal Professor of Medicine and Consultant Endocrinologist, and Dr Sharon Glynn, Lecturer in Pathology. The event is titled "Humans of Health Care: Experiences in managing work life balance and gender related inequalities".
