The School of Nursing and Midwifery in partnership with Cuidiú – Irish Childbirth Trust hosted a free public screening of the film "MILK – Born Into This World” on Thursday 3 December 2015.

MILK provides a universal perspective on the politics, commercialisation and controversies surrounding birth and infant feeding using beautiful visuals and poignant voices from around the globe. Inspiring, informative, provocative and sensitive, MILK celebrates bringing a new life into this World with a strong call to action and reflection.

Following the screening, there was a lively Q&A discussion (via Skype) with the film's director, Noemi Weis.

On display was a photo exhibition titled "The Milky Way" by local photographer, Kate Nolan.

This event was well-received and attracted more than 150 people. Photos are available on the School of Nursing and Midwifery Facebook page.
