Gastroenterology

Gastroenterology research at the HRB-Clinical Research Facility is focused on Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Coeliac Disease, and Barretts oesophagus. Studies have included patient registries, investigator- and sponsor-initiated clinical trials of investigational medicinal products, and genomics. For the future, we aim to ramp up the number of investigator-initiated trials and studies, and to align research priorities with key challenges facing the health services in Ireland, including personalized medicine.
